Russia has two main regions for the maritime industry. The North-West region with St. Petersburg as its center and The Volga region with Nizhny Novgorod as its center.

The North-West region is home to the most important shipyards and design bureaus for seagoing shipping and offshore industry. The Volga region produces sea-river going vessels, hydrofoils and hovercrafts for both local and foreign markets.

We organise a trade mission to St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod that will allow the Dutch participants to come into direct contact with leading organisations in the Russian maritime industry in these regions. The mission will focus mainly on the Volga region and will make use of a river ship to visit several shipyards that are located along the Volga river.
